Ms. Douthitt's 7 year old class recently concluded one of their first projects of the school year.Their projects were dioramas of the vast regions of our planet.
The class was split into groups of 3-4 children and each group was appointed a region: the deserts, icy mountains, rain forests, Antarctic, and the arctic.
In addition to their dioramas depicting assigned regions, the groups demonstrated their knowledge by providing and reading passages from books. This helped introduce the basics of research, a skill they will need as they progress through their education.
