The Science Fair

The Science Fair is over and though the students had fun, they're glad the stress is gone. Finally we can go home and relax. All participants in the Science Fair earned their grades and medals. The best five students which projects were found the most interesting were awarded with golden Goblets of Knowledge.

🏆1st - Sasha Berliner - Pulling force of planes with a different number of propellers

🏆2nd - Ruslan Bryan - Oxidizer proportions for an optimum rocket fuel

🏆3rd - Ketevan Mdzinarishvili - Chemical reactions through the activity series through metals

🏆4th - Guy Crowley - Salinity and its impact on plant growth

🏆5th - Luisa Heining - Which cooking methods for vegetables permit the highest vitamin C retention

"There were ups and downs but in the end i'm glad it's over." Taisia

Students had to come up with ideas for their projects and then research them for information. Most of them said the hardest part of the Science Fair was coming up with fascinating and sciency ideas.

"I hope this will happen more in the future because it was pretty great!" Abby

After they were finished with their project they had to present it to Mr. Hostetter, Dr. Skaggs and another representative of the CDC. Students were judged on how well they presented their project, what was included, what they left out, and how sciency it was.

"I think this Science Fair was a great way to express the creativity in the field of science." Sasha

The Science Fair was organised by Travis and Ashley Hostetter along with the support of the Director of Instruction, Joshua Garrett, and the Director, Daniel Blaho.
