Camera... Lights ... Action!

The drama students waited for this moment with fear and excitement. The show was about to start and all the guests had already taken their seats. All of the sudden the lights faded and the audience started clapping to encourage the cast.

The first short performance was based on the story of Richard Connell who wrote The Most Dangerous Game. It was called 'We're Not Animals". Students had to interpret the story that was based on two completely different settings: Jungles and Inside of a Mansion. Actors - Adam, Avery, and Tim did a great job on adapting this piece of work into our stage.

The second performance was based on the story of Alexander Pushkin who wrote 'The Queen of Spades". In their adaptation students renamed it into "LUCK?". Actresses Anna, Jessica, Liza and Kate did a fantastic job on learning their lines and not being scared to perform in front of people. Good job girls!

The third performance was an original monologue written by Maksim. The name of the monologue was "Being Responsible". In his short speech he told the audience a story about his little brother and how he looked after him when their parents went on vacation. Maksim told us the importance of being responsible in a very touching way.

The fourth performance was based on the story of Walter Dean Myers who wrote "The Treasure of Lemon Brown". In their adaptation students renamed it into "Everyone's Got a Treasure". This short story was very hard to adapt, but our young actors nailed it and performed at their best. Abby, Andrew, and Kate showed great effort taking part in this performance.

The fifth play was based on the story of Susan Glaspell who wrote "A Jury of Her Peers". In their adaptation students renamed it into "Unbearable". Actresses Mia, Hewan, and Luisa successfully passed the emotions of their characters to the audience.

The sixth performance was based on the story of Edgar Allan Poe who wrote the "Tell-Tale Heart". In their adaptation students renamed it into "Make It Stop", and like the rest it was a success!

Great job everyone!
