It's safe to say that both the QSI varsity and junior varsity girls teams gave their games all they had and more. Though some tears were shed, silver medals were awarded to the varsity team, and accepted with dignity. Although the varsity girls couldn't claim the first place trophy, and a majority of the players are leaving, this became a year of firsts. The varsity girls finally beat Caspian, their long-time rival, and the varsity boys moved up from last place to being amongst the top teams playing.

The varsity girls proved to be a tough competition, celebrating with a frenzy of gleeful squeals after defeating Caspian, the school they were losing to year after year. Despite losing 19-25 in the game for first place, the girls aren't letting the pain affect them too much, the memory of winning remains in their minds and overpowers the pain of receiving yet another second place medal.

The varsity boys who have always held fourth or fifth place, were ecstatic about bringing home silver medals. Their final match against TISA was without a doubt one of the most tense games in the tournament, for the score went up to 30-28. Prior to TISA, the boys faced New School and the crowd was roaring with school pride as the boys won 25-22. Unlike the varsity girls team, the majority of the boys are not leaving and staying to play next year.
